Born in California, filmmaker and sound artist Curtis Tamm develops performances, installations and lectures from a fundamental perspective that accidents are the shape beyond systems. Often intimate and hallucinatory, his work utilizes visceral disorientation as a way to develop the human capacity to engage unpredictable environments.

Recently he was awarded a New Music USA grant for his sound-design and original music for Michelle Boule's solo dance performance, The Monomyth (2017), a 110-day residency in Japan through Arcus Project (August - December, 2017), and the LACMA LAB, Art and Technology Grant for 2017/2018 to further the project Tympanic Tether.
